However, Kiryu learns from them that the man was killed with a gunshot to the head, not beaten to death, so he insists that someone is framing him for the murder. The lieutenants inform him that they know he assaulted the murdered man and that the police will likely discover this too, so he must turn himself in to keep the police from looking too closely into the Family's operations. Kiryu reports to the Dojima Family office for a meeting with the Family's three lieutenants: Daisaku Kuze, Hiroki Awano, and Keiji Shibusawa.
